I am behind the times when it comes to movies only getting them through tv or dvds.
I recently watched Cars, a cartoon with Paul Newman as the star car voice. At first it was very boring but as it went on it I got more involved. It was a cute movie about a race car that fell off a cargo Semi that was transporting it. It ended up in a dead end town. Kids might give it more stars but I would only give it one star I would not pay to go see it. |

AVIATOR
What a movie this is. Decaprio was magnificent as usual. A movie about the life of Howard Hughes. His life full of ecsentricities(sp). Sorry, I am using explorer and no spell check as with firefox. Anyway, obsessive compulsive to the max he was.I am really sorry that he didnt have a full healthy life. He was a brilliant man. Well worth the time to watch. As a matter of fact I think I will watch it again. Of 4 stars it gets 4 stars |

I just watched "O brother where art thou", I know, I know, very old movie but it was so funny. With hunk George Clooney. 3 good ole boys in the backwoods of Kentucky in and out of crooked escapades after escaping from a chain gang. Two stars
Ive been busy at the auction tonight and will be previewing these movies in the future: (except maybe 2 of them) can you guess which ones, lol?

I am anxious to see Blood diamonds! As you know I love Decaprio. |

BLOOD DIAMONDS:
Dicaprio was magnificent of course with Jennifer Connelly. All about greed high and low. What people will do to get diamonds. Africa being the location of torture of the people of Africa to the point of removing their limbs to get them under control by the diamond smugglers. Leo being one of the greedy men that will go to any means to get his hands on the diamonds. One individuals family and the trials they go through right in the middle of the diamond war. I remember when this came out and the outrage this country had for the innocent African people because of the diamond wars. It is sad that it has died down at least I dont hear anything much on it now but I am sure it is still going on. It is a shame they dont show this movie often to keep us alert to the terrible tragedy this is doing to the families there, especially the children. It was a very good movie but very sad. I am not a good judge of movies that Dicaprio is in though. I am partial. I give it 3 stars in a possible 4. I would like to go farther concerning my disappointment in the ending but than I would be giving away the ending, lol. This movie should be rated R because of the violence. There is a huge amount of bloodshed so if you are squeamish, dont go see this movie. |

THE DEPARTED
I bought this recently being it is a Dicaprio movie.
Watching it yesterday I realized I had already seen it. Oh well, it was a good movie.
About two cops, a good and bad. With Leo and Matt Damon also with Mike Nicholson. After watching this I realized that most of Leo’s movies end bad for him:( It was well worth watching!! Three stars Unfortunately lots of bad language |

BATMAN-DARK KNIGHT
Special effects were good, acting was good. Plot was typical of the batman series. I am not impressed with the latest guy playing batman. Give me the first couple in the series and I am happy.(What’s his name?) Nothing outstanding about this movie, sorry.
In all fairness I need to watch this movie on another TV, something about my current TV. I have a hard time understanding the words, something with the sound. So until then I give this 2 stars |

BATMAN-BATMAN BEGINS
Do yourself a favor and watch them in the order they were put out. Watch this one before "dark knight". I didn’t and probably would have reviewed "dark knight" differently.
This was pretty good. All about Batmans beginnings including the training he went through and the creation of his digs before batman rose from the ashes.
Starring Christian Bale as Batman. I still wish there was someone else playing Batman but oh well. Morgan Freeman as the techie gooroo and Michael Caine as the butler. Lest I forget, Liam Neisam.(sp) There wasn’t the usual villain in this one although of course there were villains but not any striking villains like "the joker" or "the penguin", etc. It had some good plots and of course special effects. I think I will be reviewing "dark knight" after watching it a second time. For this movie I give it 2 stars, 4 being the best. |

Oh my gosh! CAST AWAY~love that movie. Another Tom Hanks movie that I love. Airplane crash washes him up on a deserted island, leaving him there to fend for himself. He a city slicker top dog for UPS or was it the other one?
I love surviving the wilds like Robinson Crusoe. Takes an inventive mind. This is a must see if you havent seen it.
Intertwined with his life before and after the crash and the love he left behind. Helen Hunt the love interest. Gotta give my Favorite 4 stars outta 4
