Might as well include NBC in my rants.
They have their heads together or NOT in deciding whether to put Jay back on the late night for a half hour and then CONO for an hour. Do they want my opinion? Probably not! but here is is anyway. Cono is only appealing to the immature adolescence out there so give him a half hour after Jay’s hour and give Jimmy a half hour after Cono. At first I wasn’t impressed with Jimmy but he is a sweet heart and is truly humorous with his skits and comedy. I’d like to see him survive over Cono any day. Jay is wonderful and unappreciated. He spoke of going to Fox, I think that is a great idea. No wonder NBC is always struggling, they make the worst decisions, pshaw!!! |

UPDATE:
For the moment anyway, looks like Cono will be bought out by NBC for 34 million with the preface that he not work for any other station till September. He chose not to stay if it meant following Leno, which he felt a demotion. I guess he forgot that was his position for all these many years. That from one of the news magazines on TV. The war between Jay and Cono is not very adult with Jay taking the fall from all comedy sources including the 3 late night talk show hosts. Sad, of course I am partial to Jay. Looks like jay will get his old time slot but I am not sure if that will be for a half hour or an hour, if he chooses to accept that offer. |

| According to Oprah’s poll on the show with her and Jay it did little to change people’s mind. I shouldn’t be surprised, people get set in their opinion and not much will usually change it, not even the truth. I am sad for Jay, his competitors being green monsters added to his burned rep. Their pull with audience did a number on him. What I am confused about is that reading the comments it was obvious that the majority were for Jay and yet the poll did not show that at all. It is a puzzle to me, I thought that once the truth was out there that the adults would put the blame where it belongs, on NBC. Ratings killed Conan, not Jay. NBC’s insistence on change did a job on both of them a long with the late night competition, freckle face, split tooth and 3rd guy on the block. I sure am glad Jimmie Fallon stayed out of it! Now there’s maturity for ya! |

| UPDATE: In case you aren’t keeping up Cono is toast and has taken a payoff with an agreement that he won’t show his face on another TV show till September. YEAH!! Jay will be back in his old time slot after the Olympics on March 1ST. YEAH!!! |

Back in his old time slot, Jay is doing great. The ratings are back up and he is in the lead over any of the other talk show hosts!!   |

| Sadly I report that Kevin Eubanks will be leaving the Jay Leno show in the next few weeks. He didn’t relate to much about why, only that after 18 years he wants some change and to be with family more:( |

| Cono has a new gig on cable TBS, Monday thru Thursday talk show. A half hour of it will conflict with Jay’s and Letterman’s show. |

| Cono is going on 60 minutes this Sunday to cry about what Jay did to him. SOUR GRAPES!! He only has himself to blame for his show failing! |
